Reading, Tackling My TBR, and Readathon?

Welcome to part 2/2 of my unannounced personal update of the week.

I know it’s been a while since I have posted my last book review and flip through, but I am still in holiday mode where I’m having trouble getting back into the swing of things. Don’t get me wrong, I am still reading; probably reading more so now than ever to start chipping away at my extended TBR. And to be honest, I added some more publications between my last update and me posting this.

During this break I have read quite a few books and have begun drafting several reviews, but I’ve been a little nervous about posing them because they are not my most positive reviews. In fact, they are some of my most critical ones so far. I know these reviews are my own opinions, but I like to keep them fairly objective because I don’t want to ever discourage someone from reading a book they may potentially enjoy. I’m also nervous that the authors of these books may take great offense in my post or interpret it differently than I intend it to. Regardless, I am here to be honest and completely transparent about my own opinions and criticisms. I think I might end up separating the objective flip through and summary from my personal critique. What do you think?

Lastly, in order to tackle my TBR I will be marathoning books this upcoming week. I’ll try to be posting everyday on my various social media accounts like Instagram and Tumblr, as well as posting flipthroughs of the books I finish on Youtube, and leaving my ratings on Goodreads. All of which will be linked at the end of this post. I will also be posting my daily wrap ups. I think this will be a fun, low-pressured attempt at a readathon to prepare me for my first official one.

As always, it’s been a pleasure.
Cheers,
Zack
